It was a great competition that brought together 41 students from throughout the state of New Mexico.  You should be proud of the fact that we were the first state to conduct a statewide Spanish spelling bee and that we are currently one of two states that have a statewide event.  You should also know that each of the past two national champions have come from New Mexico!
