Cuentistas, Spanish Literary Contest 0

It is our pleasure to announce the Eighth Annual Spanish Literary Contest Cuentistas. This contest, honoring the Día del Libro, April 23rd, is made possible by the New Mexico / Spain educational partnership. This year’s topic will be free and the only requirement is that students are encouraged to further their writing skills and their knowledge of Spanish language by writing in Spanish a short story (fiction or non-fiction).

Instructions:

  • Send only one work per student.
  • All Middle, Junior and High school students of the state of New Mexico are eligible to
  • participate in the contest.
  • Teachers must send a printed version of all their students’ participations (a maximum of 15
  • participations).
  • Teachers must also send an electronic copy of all their students’ participations. They can send a CD with all the participations in word documents (together with the printed versions) or they can email us all the participations. This will make it easier for us in order to publish the winning stories.
  • Please see attached announcement for specific categories and awards.
  • All the participations need to have the same cover: page 2 of this document.

Send entries, with the enclosed fact sheet (signed by author and their parent or guardian), by February 29th, 2012, to:
